Discord Markdown cheat sheet
| Format | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bold | **text** | Works in messages, not in names. |
| Italic | *text* or _text_ | |
| Underline | __text__ | Combine: __**text**__ |
| Strikethrough | ~~text~~ | |
| Spoiler | ||text|| | Hidden until clicked. |
| Headers | #, ##, ### + space | Must start the line. |
| Small text | -# text | Grey subtext; must start the line. |
| Quote | > text / >>> text | >>> quotes everything after it. |
| Code | `text` / ```text``` | Add a language after the opening backticks for highlighting. |
| Masked link | [label](https://…) | Discord shows a warning before opening. |
| Escape | \*not italic\* | A backslash stops formatting. |
